Random shots from April

A few weeks ago we went to Tybee Island and Savannah for a quick getaway on our way to Grandma and Grandpa Morgan's house. Wasn't quite warm enough to swim in the ocean yet, but Michael still managed to have a good time at the beach.

He liked picking up sticks and shells on the beach.

Playing with his trucks in the sand was also a big hit.

I guess when you're 1 and a half, you just point to what you want and magically it appears for you.

We found a cool park to explore while wandering around Savannah.

Driving My Tractor

Michael LOVES tractors. Loves them. Sometimes "tractor" is the first word out of his mouth when he wakes up in the morning. His favorite thing is to flip through all of his books looking for pictures of tractors, or to watch videos of them on YouTube. You can imagine how excited he was when Nanny Sissy bought him a riding tractor of his very own.

We even took him to Lowes the other day and let him drive the "tractor" there. Boy howdy was he sad when it was time to leave.

Some other Michael highlights from 21 months:
--Also loves trains, which he calls "choo-choos".
--His vocabulary is really expanding. He says new words almost daily and knows most of his animal sounds now.
--When you ask him to sing "Row your boat" he will go "Row, Row, Row...Stream!"
--Is kind of picky, but will usually eat chicken fingers. Loves oatmeal for breakfast.
--Can RUN, not just walk.
--Is getting used to the water at the local pool. Mommy can't wait til we both start swimming more this summer.

We visited our new GA home a few weeks ago and Michael had a great time playing with all of his cousins. I think we're all looking forward to the renovations being completed so we can move in and settle down. Seems hard to believe that we'll be out of NC in two weeks!
